Information stored by Visitrax
Visitrax stores the places, visits, mileage information, vehicles, notes, tags, receipt images, exclusion zones, and settings that you create or approve. This information is stored on your device.
Location and motion
With your permission, Visitrax uses precise location and motion data to identify likely business visits, estimate mileage, and respect exclusion zones. Location monitoring may continue while the app is in the background. You can change these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app.
Camera, photos, microphone, and speech recognition
Visitrax accesses the camera or photo library only when you choose to attach a receipt. It accesses the microphone and Apple Speech Recognition only when you choose to record and transcribe a voice note. Temporary voice recordings are deleted after transcription.
Optional encrypted iCloud backup
If you enable iCloud Backup, Visitrax encrypts app data on your device before storing it in your private iCloud database. Turning backup off deletes the cloud copy and its encryption key while leaving local data in place.
Sharing and exports
Visitrax creates reports and data exports only when you request them. You decide where to send those files using the iOS share sheet. Visitrax does not sell personal information and does not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.
Website beta requests and support email
The Visitrax website does not use advertising trackers. When you submit the beta-access form, Formspree processes and stores the email address and form information and sends Alpine Vista Group a notification. We use that information only to administer beta access, communicate about product testing, and improve Visitrax. Formspree's handling of submissions is also governed by its privacy policy.
If you contact support directly, Alpine Vista Group receives the information you include in that message and uses it to respond and investigate the issue. You may ask us to delete beta-request or support correspondence.
Retention and deletion
You can change retention settings, disable backup, export a portable copy, or use Delete All Data in Visitrax Settings. Delete All Data removes local Visitrax records and the encrypted iCloud backup.
